Great Resources and TPT sale!

I was inspired by the Owl-Be Inspired Linky to share the products that have been lifesavers for me this year!

My goodness!  Being new to a grade level for the second year in a row has given new meaning to ! My first lifesaver product is actually a fabulous set of products from Jamie Rector of 2nd Grade Stuff!  Jamie has sets of writing prompts for each month of the school year.  They contain a narrative, informative, an opinion, and a research prompt with really cute task pages and writing paper.  They have been a lifesaver because I am in my second year of learning a new grade curriculum.  These packets hit the mark for the Common CORE and are so much fun.  They are great for writing workshop or centers and my substitutes have loved them!

For my writing centers, I have relied on my Story Dice, Writing Topic Cards that I made into rings, and Instant Writing Centers.

 

For guided reading groups, I often rely of some sort of response activity to monitor my students and provide a meaningful task for fast finishers.  Again, Jamie Rector of 2nd Grade Stuff!  created Common Core Standards Graphic Organizers for Reading for different grade levels – good stuff!  I make them into a booklet and assign as needed for responses.

And for spelling, all the products from Babbling Abby (wish I could be her!!!)are fantastic for reinforcing those tricky vowel sounds.
